Founding Partner & Coastal Engineer

Shelby Riffey is a founding partner and Coastal Engineer at First Line Coastal. She has ten years of experience specializing in coastal restoration and dredging projects.

Prior to joining the consulting world, Shelby gained hands-on experience with a large dredging and marine construction company. In the last decade she has been involved in over 50 projects along every coast of the US. Since switching to consulting in 2019, Shelby has been able to apply her field-based experience toward design, permit, and construction administration elements. The net result is more well-rounded projects with increased value for our clients. Her involvement in these two industries has brought familiarity with a variety of project types at various levels of participation from hydrographic surveyor to project manager of multi-million dollar projects.
